The following documents and standardized tests are required of DBMD applicants. *With the exception of the DBMD Study Plan and your I-20 application, you will submit these materials as part of your department application.

Application Materials

Letters of Recommendation

Letters of recommendation should be obtained from college/university faculty members familiar with your academic performance and/or an immediate work supervisor. The number of required letters varies by program, with most departments needing either two or three recommendations for a complete application.

Personal Statement

Each master's option has a specific question prompt applicants must answer. Responses must usually be between 500 and 1,000 words and ask applicants to provide additional background about their experience and how a master's degree from Temple will help them to achieve their future career goals. 

Resume or Curriculum Vitae

Submit a current resume or CV outlining your prior education and professional experience.

English Language Proficiency Test Score

TOEFL iBT ®, IELTS Academic, Duolingo, and PTE Academic language proficiency scores are accepted.

Standardized Test Scores

Temple waives GRE and GMAT tests for most DBMD applicants. Only applicants seeking admission to the Fox School of Business are required to take the GMAT or GRE test, however, merit-based waivers may be considered. Fox applicants should forward GMAT or GRE scores electronically to the Temple University Graduate School (Institutional Code: 2906). Contact Global Programs for more information about merit-based GRE or GMAT waivers" to the end of the sentence.

Transcripts

Official transcripts from every university attended are required. A minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale is ordinarily required for admissions consideration. However, requirements for some programs may vary.

Application for Certificate of Eligibility (Form I-20)*

You must submit your I-20 application electronically. Official supporting financial documents dated no more than 6 months prior to the date of application must accompany your I-20 application.

DBMD Study Plan (if applicable)*

After you are accepted, complete the DBMD Study Plan (PDF) to select appropriate graduate courses at Temple to fulfill your remaining undergraduate requirements. If you have fulfilled all undergraduate requirements, a DBMD Study Plan is not required.
